the evening's light shades bounce off the ivory clouds as the sun slowly begins to fade. the rich light of the day suddenly turns to pastel colors of pink, yellow, orange and purple. variety of colors contrast against the grounds of the pures' meeting land; here no one is submitted to a specific land, you're free to roam where ever here and whenever. in this part of the land, it is best to come at night. most equines come here to converse at the dawn of the day and the dusk of night, where the vibrant colors are the best and the warmth stays. just remember; as a shooting star falls, make a wish. softly eardrums vibrate as the sound of a distant waterfall erupts. if you look to the east you can see the massive waterfall that cascades down into a crystal clear water hole.
upon a large hill lie a couple of ancient ruins from hundreds of years ago. perched in the middle of the hill is an old, crumbled church. the walls are broken and cracked; the roof is still intact and shades horses that need a rest. soon the old time building with fall to the ground, but you’ve still got some time to hide under the security of the long time church of ancient human beings. inside of the structure, the ground is all compact black dirt. around the outside of the building is short, dried up yellow grass that stand out against the dark, faded away gray stones of the building. the sides of the large hill are covered with a lush green blanket of grass that seems to never die. just like the spirits and memories of the ancient ruins.
sand covers the grounds of this land that no one owns nor leads. no lake is near, yet the white sand takes over the darker, rich dirt that lies beneath it all. here, horses that are neutral and don't belong to a herd nor wants to be, come here to talk and pass on gossip to one equine to another. bramble covers the earth's grounds in this area, trees stand tall and mighty off to the west as one single tree leads to a vast forest. shadows envelope you totally as you take on step into the forest. creatures hunt in the shadows of this forest; be careful where you set your hoof, for that step might lead you into the hands of something else.
hidden deep in the forest is a clearing. dark trees surround everything. a pebbly stream runs through the clearing, but off to a side not in the middle. the trees part completely for this clearing, letting in the beaming sun. in the middle of the stream, it widens up so it is pool-like. light dances on the pool, sending colors of all the rainbow onto the horses that drink from it. the grass is lush and green, all around. on the other side of the stream is only a small part before the forest comes back. in that small part is mud, and dirt. sort of a mud-bath playground for foals. at night the pool is all white - though the rest of the stream is regular - and reflects the moon beautifully. on a full moon it is the most wondrous sight.
in the barren places of the heartless horses are killers and hungry for the screams of the helpless others. here, there are no leaders; horses come here just to roam and figure out what to do, either join one of the existing herds or start one or live here. living here is a lonely place, yet filled with disgust and no manners from other beasts. take in an eye full of this area and you'll find nothing exiting. trees are scarce as the ground is no longer filled with their once rich ingredients. flowers no longer bloom in the spring or summer. rocks jag out, reaching out to the skies from the ground, reaching up to the clouds, trying to catch your dreams, your faith. they've already caught your hope.
long, tall and unhealthy dried grass is only seen. the yellow 'sticks' stand out against the familiar pale sky, with the hot sun cascading down onto the area. absolutely no shade is available here, no trees are here. the closest set of trees are miles west. every which way you look; dead grass, crows and dead grass. here are natural hunters; hunters for edible grass and water. you'll need skill, honey.
far out in pretty much the middle of nowhere lies an abandoned human shack. the boards fall to the ground, vermin have claimed it. barely any trees are there for protection from rain or for those in need of hiding. the only shelter is the abandoned shack. but do not be fooled by the looks of the shack. emotions flood this place. the only stallions that step foot in this place are those who escort the mares, or colts whom grew up in the meadows. mares come far and wide to either rid of their burden, or adopt, giving a foal a kind heart to look up to.
coming through the thick, dense and dark forest of Elista, there comes one of many meadows. dried blood droplets are spattered on the dry, yellow grass. grunts and snorts of pain are sounded with the occasional shrill whinny if the deadly meadow is occupied with two beasts. you've guessed right; this is the one and only battle ground which hold fights of two beings, coming out with a winner or a loser. which will you be? the victorious winner or thee pathetic loser?
deep inside the trees in the south area of the dark forest of Elista, lays a part that is hidden away by bushes and trees, brambles and logs. the area is light and airy and filled with many hidden emotions from two equines. scents and emotions are mixed rapidly as pairs and mates are leaving the place and pairs that are just entering the medium sized open area. the ground of the open meadow like area is covered with lush grass and little flowers. yet stallions and mares hardly pay attention to the beautiful scenery; they’ve got a mission. this is the breeding area of Elista; horses come here to repopulate this large and beautiful land.
no stallions are ever allowed in this clearing. if they even step foot here they will be greeted by protective mothers. the clearing has an invisible divider. pregnant mares on one side, and mares raising their foals on the other side. the mares don't mix much, only if there is trouble with one of the mare's birthing. the clearing isn't as green as others. it has more of a creamy vibe. in certain places it smells stronger of blood than other spots. in the corner of the clearing is a pond. actually, there are two ponds. one at either end. one of the ponds is used for drinking, the other is used for cleaning up. it has a more dirty, reddish color to it at times .. the dreams of mares become a new when they finally see what their offspring is.
here lay the horses that have served their lives in Elista. no matter how light the sun shines that day, the graveyard always seems to stay dark. the ground seems to always be covered in a couple inches of fog, growing to about a foot in height. horses come here when they know their time in Elista is just about up. they enter the silence, just taking part in the silent screams. he who comes here, hardly ever makes it out. yet sometimes, the air is filled with hope and ease as the creature knows that it’s almost their time, time to find something besides pain and hunger for a new life.
when you no longer wish to roleplay a horse, or a horse dies in the roleplay, pm a staff member and ask them to move the horse's biography here. once the bio is moved maybe you could even write out a little paragraph telling us about their last moments or how they died.
cut into one of the sides of the cliff is a long and narrow tunnel. the mouth of the tunnel can fit up to five horses if lined side by side until they reach both walls. but gradually the tunnel narrows, only allowing a single file line. most horses don’t really like going down the pitch black tunnel, afraid of what might be ahead of them or behind them. but once the end of the tunnel is reached, the space opens up to a series of three large caves. the middle cave seems to be the largest, which can hold up to about thirty horses with not crowding. the cave on the right is medium size, which can only herd up to about twenty to twenty five horses. though, with twenty five horses it gets a tad bit crowded, so be careful. on the left, the cave is very small; only holding up to about ten horses, no more or else it’ll be too crowded. in this cave, small families usually come to beat the heat, or snow or rain. the family’s foal tends to like to run around the small cave while the sire and dam get a short brake and get to relax. all caves are unusually lit up, which is strange since the tunnel is pitch black; but there’s no doubt about it that nobody likes the light after the long tunnel.
follow the worn down trail that leads from the moon pool to a series of springs that lightly shimmer out water during the day. most horses love to come during the night when the moon shines fully and the soft humming of the water hits their pelts. usually, residents of Elista tend to come with that ‘special someone’ that they keep eyeing, the surroundings are gorgeous and it’s just a perfect setting of landscape and emotions. yet mares bring their foals here a lot to let them run around a bit, plus it cleans their pelts off a bit, making their fur glisten with a beautiful sheen.
follow a dirt path up a very tall and steep hill, when you get to the top you’ll be glad you did. the path up to the top of the hill, which soon leads to a rocky cliff, is unbelievably rocky and seems almost impossible to climb. most horses give up while they try to reach the top, only horses with valiant hearts reach the top. one you do reach the top, if you do, that is, it looks like a large grass field, but before you get too far, the grass rapidly turns to rocks and stones; no more vegetation is around. Walk to the tip of the cliff and look over the edge, look to see all the lands of Elista, it’ll take your breath away. during a full moon is the best time to go to the cliff; it’s as if you could grab the moon; you’ll be struck in awe.
